Empowering People

“I do not choose to be common. I seek opportunity, not security.  I take the calculated risk to dream, build, and  succeed.   It is my heritage to stand erect, proud and unafraid to think and act for myself; Thus, I claim all that is mine by Divine Right!”   –Diane V. Boone

Journey of Empowerment

In 1992 I was blessed to escape an abusive husband; with my five children and nothing but the clothes on our backs.  Within the first ten years of a fresh start in life, I became an asset to my new community as publisher of a newspaper highlighting the achievements of everyday role models.

In the last nine years, my work and efforts toward change has led to recognition from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission for creating a bridge to understanding among culturally diverse communities and listed as one of Pennsylvania’s Best 50 Women in Business for my dedication to business growth, personal accomplishments, community involvement and advocacy for women.

2012 marks my 20th anniversary as a survivor of domestic violence and drug abuse; and the beginning of a new journey on empowering others as a Champion of Change:  To give back to the Divine Spirit that lifted me up from the hell “I” created and empowered me to live a better life.
